Memorial meeting in Andhra Pradesh

A memorial meeting was held for Comrade Lalitha (Sangeetha) in the village of Mulugundam, located in the Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh.

Comrade Lalitha, a member of the CPI (Maoist) working at the Central Committee level, was remembered on May 21, the day she became immortal along with 27 comrades in India.

The event, organized by the Amarula Bandhu Pathakam Mitrula Committee, attracted crowds from Kurnool, Anantapur, Mahbubnagar districts, and Hyderabad.

The memorial began with a march through the village streets, followed by the meeting. Political party leaders, representatives of people’s organizations, activists, Ka. Lalitha’s relatives, and party sympathizers attended.

Representatives from the CPI, CPI-ML New Democracy, CPI-ML Pratighatana, CPI-SUI parties, Virasam, the Citizens’ Rights Association, KNPS, BDSF, PDSU, the Farmers-Peasants Union, Jai Bhim MRPS, IFTU, and the United Platform of Democratic Organizations participated in the meeting. Speakers included Chiluka Chandrasekhar, Pani, Ramakrishna Reddy, Buram Abhinav, Mallikarjuna, Sujnanamma, Manemma, Padma Kumari, Citizens’ Rights Association representative Alla Bakash, Farmers-Peasants Union representatives Sunkanna, Hanif, and MRPS representative Gautam.
