ETERNAL HONOUR AND GLORY TO COMRADE BASAVARAJ!
LONG LIVE THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF INDIA (MAOIST)!
It fills us with immense anger, pain and sorrow to learn about the sinister murder of comrade Basavaraj, General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (Maoist), now Martyr of the Party and Revolution.
The reactionary armed forces of the old Indian State, the running dogs of the Hindutva-fascist Modi-regime, carried out a cruel attack, in which comrade Basavaraj and several other comrades gave their lives and became immortalised. They have now joined the ranks of the millions of Communists who have given their lives in the struggle for national liberation, socialism and the ever-shining goal of Communism.
Comrade Basavaraj has played a crucial part in the history of and leading up to the founding of the CPI(Maoist), where he worked as an organiser of the Party, the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army and the construction of the Revolutionary New Power on the countryside of India. Having served as General Secretary of the Party for seven years from 2018 until his death, he undeterringly led the party through times of hardship. Comrade Basavaraj dealt powerful military and political blows to the reaction and he fought relentlessly until his last breath.
The martyrdom of comrade Basavaraj is an immense loss for the people of India and the exploited and oppressed peoples of the world. The reactionary Modi-regime is celebrating the murder of our comrade and will surely exploit this to continue their war against the People of India.
What the old Indian state is forgetting is that this is not the first time, that prominent leaders of the Maoist movement in India have been killed. A New Democratic Revolution is neither born from nor is solely dependent on one individual. As comrade Basavaraj did himself, others will follow his footsteps and continue to develop the People’s War in India. The New Power which has been sown will continue to bloom as the Base Areas will grow.
The Communist Party of India (Maoist) will continue to develop the People’s War in India until the conquest of Power in the whole country, armed with Marxism-Leninism-Maoism and a firm grip around the gun. It will defeat the sinister »Operation Kagaar« as it has defeated every other attempt at extinguishing the fires of revolution in the country.
We salute the Communist Party of India (Maoist), the combatants of the PLGA, all the masses and activists working under its leadership, and finally we salute the proletariat and peoples of India. Let us honour the legacy of comrade Basavaraj by stepping up our support of the People’s War in India led by the Communist Party of India (Maoist)!
